In their latest art show, with the Protomen there, the three big murals are all related to Act II. They're going up on EBay soon.

I managed to talk to the comic's creator, Marty Day, on formspring. Here's what i asked him.
Me: In Dead of Summer, was there any particular reason you made Doug Fetterman a bad guy?
Him: Not particularly.
The integration of The Protomen was secondary, as originally, the characters in Book 2 were going to be just a group of people who lived underground. The Protomen's willingness to be in the comic, however, suddenly gave these people names and faces.
And for whatever reason, I thought Fetterman sounded like a dude who'd stab you in the back and attempt a coup. The rest is "history". |
