I've got a few that are coming off the top of my head, most of them are weird and I've got no idea if they've already been posted or not. Anyways..
Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky
I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison
Starfish (Rifters Trilogy) by Peter Watts
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
Armor by John Steakley |

| There's this really great Asimov story called "The Dead Past". I won't spoil anything, but the ending is AMAZING. |

Anything by Clarke is pretty much a winner. My favorite of his works is Childhood's End. Others by him that I enjoyed would be The City and the Stars and The Light of Other Days. Wells' War of the Worlds and The Time Machine are all-time classic. Vonnegut's Cat's Craddle and Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game. The Mote in God's Eye and Illegal Alien are two well written, lesser known works of fiction.
I could honestly go on forever. I've been reading science fiction since I was able to. |

| Has anyone mentioned Invitation To The Game yet? I'll admit, MIGHT not be very sci-fi, but, it's one hell of a good book. One of my personal favorites. Other than The Dragon Riders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey. |

I can agree to that! I love Russian stuff. Did you ever see the film STALKER based on that story? Both are good in their own way, but I prefer the film.
Anyways, has anyone ever read any of George RR Martin's short sci-fi stories? |

Dune and its sequels. (Well, the sequels mostly, like God Emperor of Dune specifically). |

The Persistence Of Vision by John Varley. 20,000 leagues under the sea by jules verne.
Also, The Martian Chronicles, There Will Come Soft Rains especially. A broto recommended them, I started reading them, and I fell in love with them more then a little bit. RIP, ray bradbury. He had such a talent for words. |
