Turbo Lover's band
It's terribly good stuff.
At least, I know Sarge and I have been listening nonstop since yesterday.
I particularly like "Murray."
Also, Panther and the Gambler feature on "Yeast Infection Affection" as background vocals. There's video on their youtube account, cheerupcharlied.
The end. |

That's my favorite song from this as well. XD Flight Of The Conchords, yes! |

| Hot damn those southerners have sexy singin' voices. It must be something in the water, or the booze, or the women... Or the booze IN the women... Or the WATER in the booze in the women. |

| I think because of our proximity to "Music City" (and the Protomen and this band actually being IN it), Tennessee has rather good music. Not like the local garbage we had in Ohio, anyway. It never fails to impress me how much good shit there is around here. |

Murfreesboro used to be a hub for local bands. i remember probably about 1999-03, there were some KILLER bands that played here.
house parties were basically concerts and concerts were just larger versions of parties. good times. i am happy to see how diverse nashville has become though. Lotta good music coming from there every time i turn around. |

| I guess I'll be the first to say I'm not impressed and I don't particularly like it. |

While I fully appreciate the music for what it is and the quality thereof, it's just not my kind of music. |

Indeed you were, and Avyrex the second, but I'll take my place in line as third. Turbolover is all kinds of awesome, but the live performance of Yeast Infection was the only song on offer that I enjoyed. |

That's fair; It's a very different style from what you're used to hearing from Turbo Lover.
Buuuut I prefer that kind of sound actually. It's just personal preference.
Protomen shows are tons of fun, and their music is great, but [the first album at least] wasn't the kind of genre I listen to on purpose.
I actually got into Wax Fang first, then my ex was like 'they opened for Protomen, iisten to them' so I did and it was awesome the end. |
