I'm debating doing this, but how does it work in a gigging scenario? I'm guessing if you need to change sound effects you need to do it on the laptop itself (like, there's no programmable button on the midi controller to do it).
Also, if it's running from a laptop to a PA, will a cheap soundcard be obvious to listeners, or will it probably just be masked by the rest of the band anyway (or, is it just not obvious at all)? |
